I am a highly skilled software engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Toronto, with a focus on strengthening my systems engineering and software development skills. I completed my undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where I majored in Mechanical Engineering and minored in Computational Engineering.
During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong interest in Computer-Aided Engineering (C.A.E) and gained both educational and project-based experience in this field. In my second year, I was introduced to computational mechanics and worked on modeling and simulating structural mechanics problems. I also completed a summer project in which I modeled and simulated the biodiesel production process in a batch reactor, which sparked my interest in multi-physics simulations and software development.
In my third and fourth years, I worked on a project involving the modeling of wind turbines using the actuator surface method. This work significantly reduced the computational time for wind farm simulations by roughly 80% and was presented at an international conference and published in a paper. I also began exploring other domains of software development and became particularly interested in web development. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I took several courses and worked on multiple personal, university, and freelance projects in this area.
Throughout my master's studies, I have continued to work as a part-time software engineer, developing a strong skill set in cloud computing applications. With my solid engineering foundations and expertise in software development, I excel at all aspects of the software engineering process, from development to deployment and maintenance. I also have excellent team leadership skills and have demonstrated strong management capabilities. I am currently seeking full-time opportunities to further improve my skills and gain valuable experience.
